3D Pop-up Book is a book rendering engine designed for portable devices. With our engine, authors can create and edit vivid 3D book content, offering readers an immersive and interactive experience. Our commercial model involves encouraging readers to download both the author-designed content and our platform. Featuring a user-friendly interface and a smooth folding effect, the engine redefines how readers engage with book content.

The most challenging aspect of this project was its development as an Android application during 2010-2011. At that time, most smartphones were limited to around 1 GHz CPU performance, with some operating at just 500 MHz. This posed significant performance challenges. To address these limitations, we optimized the algorithm by incorporating techniques such as swap buffering, preloading, and preprocessing book pages, while also simplifying the design to ensure smooth and efficient operation.
